strollingPosted by Nilla (Östergötland, Sweden) on 9 February 2010 in People & Portrait. We were out in the country this weekend to visit our friend the farmer. He is concerned that the wild animals will be fine even in winter. Here we are heading into the woods to lay out food for deer, moose and wild boar. When we got up to feeding place, two deer stood and ate the corn. Naturally the farmer shoots an animal sometimes, as last Wednesday when he shot a wild boar of 150 kg (330.664 pounds). We´ll bring some meat home at Thuesday when the meat is tenderized. I can testify that it tastes good, my favorite is stew with root vegetables. #This is one of several images in a series from our vacation in the Swedish countryside in summer 2009, and since we became good friends with the farmer and his wife I will put up more pictures from this area in future. #

Denise from Duncannon, United StatesI just love your country stories. Do the deer come for the corn as soon as you put it out?
